Rachel Kleyn is a painter, illustrator, and hobbyist typeface designer based in Boston, MA. Much of her art depicts intricately detailed scenes from Western European fairy tales, or grim moments from real world historical tragedies.

Besides those, Rachel often draws inspiration from other nations’ national costumes, most notably those of Siberian and Arctic peoples, and for her typefaces she references other languages’ writing systems. Her favorite consonant is the voiced velar fricative.
